Breast cancer affects more African American women than any other demographic.
African American women can still be beautiful throughout their breast cancer journey.
Our goal is to:
1. Support women on how to be empowered to make their own health care decisions. We want women to have the knowledge and confidence to effectively communicate what’s going on with their bodies with their medical team to secure the best treatment options available.
2. We will help to provide health and beauty tips through monthly and/or bi-weekly large group meetings which may include resources from local business and organizations.
3. A one-time BELLA Assistance Fund (BAF) for African American women that need help in paying rent, utilities, or treatment during their breast cancer journey. Recipients must be residents of Knoxville and currently undergoing breast cancer treatments.
4. Mentorship for women at any stage of their journey. We all need that one person that understands what it’s like to kick cancer’s ass. While we all have different experiences we still need someone to talk to as we become thrivers.
BELLA BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION knows the physical, health, financial, and emotional impact breast cancer can have after all of the assessments, surgeries, and treatments. We want African American women to feel like the beautiful women they are during their life long journey!
With your generous support, we can make the breast cancer journey more doable and less stressful. We thank you in advance for your time, energy, resources, and effort as you take this walk with us.
